The Media Action Grassroots Network (MAG-Net)
Local-to-Local Organizing and Regional Alliance Building for Media Justice
MAG-Net is a local-to-local network of over 120 community organizations working together to advance a shared agenda for media justice. Through collaborative action, a capacity-building initiative, a learning community, and a strategic opportunities fund, MAG-Net members are winning fights for digital inclusion, wireless and phone equity, community radio, public media, and more!
CMJ offers special events and opportunities exclusively for members of MAG-Net. The Media Justice Leadership Institute is a unique four-day media organizing school for members of the MAG-Net community working at the intersection of social justice and media change, with a focus on organizers of color and rural organizers.
The Anchor’s Initiative is a 12-to-18 month annual training, technical assistance, and award project to increase the capacity, effectiveness, and sustainability of the organizations that lead MAG-Net regional chapters.
Our Digital Dialogues are monthly 60-minute teleconferences that bring the hottest and most cutting-edge ideas and voices on media, communications, and justice issues to the MAG-Net community and beyond.
