Victor Guijarro was a community organizer with La Asamblea de Derechos Civiles and a leader in Minneapolis, MN.  Recently, he was arrested while driving in Ohio en route to visit family in New York.

  He was detained and turned over to Border Patrol and subsequently deported to Ecuador.

In this interview with WBAI Radio in New York, Steven Renderos, Media Justice Organizer,  with Main Street Project, talks about the impact of Victor's work on the Census in Minneapolis as well as the response from his community in light of his detention and deportation.
